Galerie Droste is pleased to present a booth with the artists Tim Sandow and Willehad Eilers at this years UNTITLED Art Fair in Miami Beach.
The combination of new large scale canvases by both artists result in a powerful statement: Contentual imagery feeds on the tragedy of the everyday, which can only be grasped through the sensitive observation of human gestures and situations.
Cinematic sceneries by Tim Sandow on the one hand and tumultuous scenes by Willehad Eilers on the other hand — both open up to the viewer while breaking the spell between audience and object to initiate an unique dialogue about the complex themes of human existence in a sensitive and at the same time humorous way.

Tim Sandow, born in 1988, lives and works in Wuppertal, Germany. He graduated from the Academy of Arts in Düsseldorf, Germany and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria in 2019 with Daniel Richter.
Willehad Eilers, born 1981 in Peine, Germany, lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is a graduate of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and graduated from the Rijksacademy Amsterdam in 2010.
